OBJECTIVE: Students will discuss effective lab practices in order to perform labs safely.

WARM-UP: Why is it important for the human body to regulate the level of blood glucose? What is this process called?

2. Review Safety Contract on p. 7
3. Discussion of Lab Safety
4. Point out safety equipment in laboratory p.10 (HSA Lab Manual)
Complete Pre-Lab Discussion as a group then work with a partner to complete the lab Recognizing Laboratory Safety (Biology HSA Lab Manual)
5. Complete lab on page 16 "Identifying Lab Equipment"

TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK:
Students must get safety contract signed , Honor's classes completing Rafael (Lab Safety) BCR
