OBJECTIVE: Students will perform an activity in order to distinguish between a solvent, solute and suspension.

WARM-UP: Why is water referred to as the universal solvent? What other solvents can you think of?

I was absent today. Students were to start the Macromolecule Foldable in class and finish for homework.

OBJECTIVE: Students will learn to determine pH of common substances in order to identify solutions as acidic or basic.

WARM-UP: List all the phrases that you know that include the word "acid".
