December 12 (A Day) and December 13 (B Day)

OBJECTIVE: Students will review the structure and function of chloroplasts and mitochondria in order to describe the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration, respectively.

WARM-UP: WITHOUT USING YOUR NOTES OR BOOKS-
Write the chemical equation for photosynthesis. Write the chemical equation for cellular respiration.

CLASSWORK:
1) Review Warm-Up
2) Do Chloroplast/Mitochondria "foldable" activity
3) Write out five flash cards: science, observation, data, inference, and hypothesis

TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK:
1) Use foldables and flash cards to study for next week's HSA Benchmark test.
2) Bring in a new pack of index cards.

HOMEWORK DUE:
1) Section 8-3 Worksheet from your Biology floppy workbook.
2) Read pages 3-4 and 3-5 in your green HSA floppy book.
3) Read Section 8-3 in textbook. This is a difficult section to read, so focus mostly on the diagrams.
4) Bring in a new pack of index cards.
