December 14 (A Day) and December 15 (B Day)

OBJECTIVE:
1) Students will evaluate the energy produced during the steps of cellular respiration in order to discuss the efficacy of anaerobic versus aerobic respiration.
2) Students will review photosynthesis and respiration in order to compare and contrast them.

WARM-UP: Complete "Analyzing Data" section in Chapter 8 of your textbooks.

CLASSWORK:
1) Review Warm-Up.
2) View short video on Cell Respiration.
3) Discuss the role of ATP in cells and anaerobic versus aerobic respiration.
4) Complete comparison of Cell Respiration and Photosynthesis using Transparency Worksheet.
5) Period 1A needs to complete foldable pamphlet for Cell Respiration.
6) Hand-out field trip permission slips to those students who have paid their lab fees.
7) Do next five vocabulary index cards; spontaneous generation, controlled experiment, manipulated variable, responding variable, and theory.

TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK:
1) Study Chapters 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9 for the HSA Benchmark next class. Spend a minimum of an hour studying the vocabulary from each chapter. Pace yourself so you are not doing it all the night before the test.
2) Get field trip permission slip signed.
3) HSA BCR #15 in your BCR books.
