January 26 (A Day) and January 29 (B Day): Genetics Lesson 2

OBJECTIVE: Students will explore the principles of probability in order to predict the outcomes of genetic crosses.

WARM-UP: Complete "Inquiry Activity" on page 262 of your textbooks.

CLASSWORK:
1) Get test back and review if necessary. (B Day students got their tests back on January 25.)
2) Review Section 11-1 in your textbooks.
3) Do Punnett Square worksheet.
4) If time allots, do questions 1 through 4 from Genetics Worksheet.
5) Do next five flashcards: proton, neutron, electron, element and compound.

TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK:
Complete Section 11-3 Worksheet. ***A Day students also should do Section 11-2 Worksheet as I forgot to assign it earlier in the week.

HOMEWORK DUE:
Section 11-2 Worksheet.
