NOTE: Ms. Lynch will not be in class today.
OBJECTIVE: Students will draw a plant or animal cell with all its organelles, and write a "Bio-Tune" in order to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the structure and function of each organelle within a living cell.
WARM-UP: Recall the "Weird Al" video that you watched in class the other day. What did you like most about it, what did you like least? You do not have to write out your answer, just think about it.
CLASSWORK: Working in small groups of 2-4 people per group (your lab group is fine), write a "Bio-Tune" based on the instructions you've been given. Be prepared to share this with the class. When you are done, begin working on your cell diagram. You will need to finish this for homework.
TONIGHT'S HOMEWORK: Finish the cell diagram.
HOMEWORK DUE: You should have answered the following questions using complete sentences. I will collect these when I return.
1) Complete Applying Concepts Question #33, p. 198 in your textbook: As waste chemicals build up in a cell, homeostasis is threatened. State how diffusion helps cells maintain homeostasis.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: STRIVE FOR FIVE EVERY DAY!!!
